Beyond the Veil of Obstacles

When the image of an elephant began to form on the canvas, I knew it was bringing a message. In 2019, I volunteered at an elephant sanctuary in Thailand where survivors of horrific abuse were learning to live again. These gentle giants carry a powerful duality: strong yet soft, wise yet wounded, unwavering yet forgiving. They never forget their pain, but somehow, they still open their hearts to love and  begin again.
 
That soul connection deepened in my travels to Bali and India, where I came to know Ganesha, the elephant-headed deity and Remover of Obstacles. He represents new beginnings, inner strength, and the quiet wisdom that guides us through the unknown.
 
Suddenly, everything clicked. This painting is a symbol of what we all carry within. A reminder that your past doesn’t define your future. That even if life has tested you...deeply, you are still capable of rising, trusting, and walking forward with grace.
 
Beyond the Veil of Obstacles is not about pushing your way through, it’s about remembering the strength that’s always been there, waiting to guide you back home to yourself. 🐘 🕉️
